Mission Olive Tree
Mission: (American Varietal) A tree of strong vigor with an erect habit and canopy of medium density. Prized as a dual-purpose variety, being used in green and black pickling as well as oil production. When mature, the fruit has about 22% oil content.

Fruit is medium weight
Mission olive trees ripen in the fall, wind-pollinated and are self-fertile. This means they do not need additional plants to produce olives. However, having additional olive trees nearby will increase your olive production.

Fruit production usually starts between 2-4 years. At maturity they can grow between 20-30 feet in height with a 15-18 foot wide canopy. The leaves are of medium length and width with an elliptic-lanceolate shape.
